Gabriel's Inferno

Title: Dante's Inferno
Author: Sylvain Reynard

I actually finished this quite a few months back. I need this time to collect my thoughts.

The concept, held so much potential. This could of been epic. Sadly, it was not. The main reason is Julia. It's as if she was cast in a role she was not born to play. She was weak and young minded. I wanted to reach through the screen of my kindle and slap the shit out of her. That is the only emotion I truly felt during the time I was acquainted with GI as I call it in my head.

Gabriel Emerson is a intense conflicted man. If we were able to get s glimpse into what makes Gabriel tick, a lot sooner there might have been more of a connection. Some plots work best when we are kept in the dark about one of the main characters inner conflicts. This is not one of them. It stopped me from being able to form a connection.

Over all the whole read, just was. I was more intrigued in the bits about Dante, then I was about the story over all. I don't hate or love it. I just read it.
