Motorcycle Man Review

Allow me a moment to fan myself. There is just something about a man that tells you what to do that makes you want to murder and seduce him.

Tyra Master's has just walked out of her secure life and refuses to look back. She hated her job, it made her physically ill. So what does she do? She gets a job as the office manager at a car shop owned by a Biker Gang. That's not where the fun ends, because what does she doe before she starts work? She goes to one of the biker parties and bangs her boss. He proceeds to kick her out of bed the next day with out a wave goodbye.

This is where I get irritated. She shows up at work the next day and seems surprised to see him exiting with another female. Come on he kicked you out of bed and won't admit he knows your real name. Then he tells her she can't work there because he doesn't employ females he f**ks.I have to give Tyra her kudos, she doesn't stand there in her fab-tastic peep toe sling back kitten heels and take it. Nope she throws down and tells him to basically shove it up his ass she is staying. This is where Tack falls. I could for see this fall at that exact moment. As in all novels what does tough guy biker dude enjoy most? I redhead not taking his shit.

This is where they start to play a game of cat and mouse. Kristen Ashley tries to make us believe Tyra truly has moments of fear involving how Tack acts. I think it's bullshit. Tyra has fear of herself. She is scared to step back on the roller coaster of life put both hands up and just live. Tack warms to me when he starts to teach her. He shows her she's been living a colorless life. I know this because Ashley stresses the color of things after her and Tack start to be official.

Of course there is drama and action and hot sex. I love that Tack's kids are close with him and his ex wife is a psycho nut job. I have never truly been so disgusted with a person as I was with her. I wanted to reach through Kindy's screen and slap the shit out of her. Ugh.

Over all this is a goodread as Kristen Ashley's books tend to be. My only dispute I have is that Tyra looses some of her fierce attitude. Which is what makes her so amazingly paired with a character like Tack. Also her constant attempt to fend him off, she should know. When a man like Kane "Tack" Allen wants you there is nothing you can do to stop it.

What the hell was I thinking!?!

With the quickly approaching release date of Opal, I have discovered something. I NEVER WROTE A REVIEW OF ONYX!!

I am distressed! I am a total JLA stalker and the fact that I read Onyx(multiple times) and did not review it has cracked my heart in a million little Alien light baby pieces. I don't know what was going on in my life at the specific moment but it can not continue!

The BRIGHT side to this. I can re read before the Opal release and be very caught up on my Katy Daemon action. So I might drop of the face of the world wide web, as I tend to do when JLA's writing is involved.

Wish me luck! Toodles!

Because of Low

Title: Because of Low
Author: Abbi Glines
My Rating: didn't like it it was ok liked it (my current rating) really liked it it was amazing

Let it be known. I wish I had a best friend like Cage. That being said, I can continue on.

I am starting to find I really enjoy Abbi Glines. So much that I think she should right a story based off my life, it would be totally fiction because nothing fun happens to me.

The thing I enjoyed most about this book isn't the relationship between Low and Marcus. There relationship was expected. Boy meets girl, boy isn't suppose to like girl, so of course boy NEEDS girl, boy gets girl, boy f**ks up, boy apologize, girl plays hard to get, boy gets forgiven, boy gets and keeps girl. Basic story line for contemporary novels.

Low and Cage have the type of friendship that is unbreakable. They would not be who they are without each other. He is the Yin to her Yang and all that jazz. They sleep in the same bed but don't sleep together. He protects her and keeps her strong. She makes him self aware of his faults. I am a Cage groupie, but I am not blind. He might be selective but I must admit. CAGE IS A HOE.  There relationship is complex, so might think that she enables him, and he puts her on the back burner. He doesn't. Cage needs Low, he needs to know that she is there and won't judge him. He needs to have an anchor, someone safe. I refuse to believe he isn't aware she will NEVER marry him. So there is no way for him to worry about her falling in love with him. Cage is scared. Lo is like his night light in the dark.

I enjoyed this read. Abbi Glines Through in the little twist with Low's sister and Marcus's dad, but I saw that coming as soon as we meet Low's niece.

Just Started

Okay. I am reading this series out of order. Judgement not needed.

Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn’t know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn’t the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.

Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.

Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.

Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.

Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.

Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.

It's Tack's job to convince her.

Title: Because of Low
Author: Abbi Glines

Marcus Hardy had hoped to enjoy a year away at college while he put the summer he’d rather forget behind him. But instead, he’s jerked right back to the coastal town of Sea Breeze, Alabama due to a family crisis. His dear ol' dad found himself a girlfriend only a few years older than Marcus. So now his sister needs help dealing with their mother who is mentally falling apart. The only bright spot to returning is the fascinating red head who sleeps over several times a week. The problem is she's sleeping in bed with his new roommate, Cage York.

Willow “Low” Foster needs a place to live. Running to Cage’s apartment every time her sister kicks her out isn’t exactly a long term solution. Juggling her courses at the local community college and a part time job doesn’t produce excess income. But Cage has a new roommate and suddenly sleeping over at her best friend’s apartment isn’t such a bad thing. Not when she gets to see those sexy green eyes of Marcus Hardy’s twinkle when he smiles at her like he wants her there.
Even though Cage seems a little territorial where Low is concerned, Marcus finds time to spend with Low without upsetting his roommate. Cage may use his small college baseball star persona to sleep with every hot female in his path but he’s still under the disillusion that when he’s through sowing his wild oats, he’s going to marry Low. Marcus intends to change that assumption for both Cage and Low. Until his carefully laid plans come crashing down with a revelation he never expected. He’ll have to choose between Low or his family. Because once the truth comes out.... there’s no other choice.

Deity Book Review

Book: Deity
Author: Jennifer L. Arnentrout

Can we just take a moment for the awesome that is JLA? Well I am. This book was effing amazing!

If you have ever read my review you know I have an obsession, that obsession is JLA. No I am not seeking help, I don't require an intervention and yes please, give me more! I am a fan of her writing her creativity and her wittiness!

Through out the story she never lost Alex's ability to make an awkward situation hilarious! Alex does the things we want to do but lack the courage. She has such a strong personality that if it wasn't the the amazingness that is JLA I would of forgotten she is a 17 year old girl. Her ability to constantly remind us of Alex's adolescence is astounding! She is a girl with crushes and boy problems. Family she thinks doesn't like her and friends she feels are slipping from her grasp because of who she is. What can I say, we can relate.

Seth, oh I have so much hope for you. I don't believe that this is the true path Seth is meant to go on. I'm a total Seth fan girl, he just needs love. I think him and Alex would be good together. Someone that causes that fierce of emotions in someone, well lets say you care for them more then just a friend. She can relate to Seth on a level Aiden can't. They are part of the same. Alex was made to basically save Seth from his self. That sounds like the beginning of a epic love story. Of course with my luck it won't happen. *tear*

Aiden *sighs* oh Aiden. We learn so much about Aiden in this release, we finally hear what happen to his parents in detail. He opens up to Alex in a way he was scared to before.  OH EM GEE do they open up to each other. He also knows Alex without the help of being one in the same. I really like Aiden. He is strong where Alex is weak. Which could be a epic love story too, but not the one I want. I know I'm horrible, but I don't care.

Overall, this book made me drop off the face of the earth while I was reading it. I always had this driving need to drop what I was doing and read more! So of course this is a 5 STAR kind of read. Stop what your doing and go pick it up. I agree with everyone else when I say it is the  "IT" book of 2012.

Now I patiently await Apollyon. Or not so patiently... I need it NOW!

I just finished....

I JUST FINISHED DEITY AND THIS IS MY REACTION.....

I might need a moment to process this....

Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Hostile Takeover Review

Title: Hostile Takeover
Author: Joey W. Hill
My Rating: didn't like it it was ok liked it really liked it (my current rating) it was amazing

Starting out I thought this book would be mainly erotica.

Let's just say I was wrong! Thank you Joey Hill for that amazing thing called a plot! This is the first one of this series that I have read. Of course it is the last one, so now I HAVE to go back and read the other ones.

The book takes us into the world of BDSM, which everyone has probably wanted to experience on some level. We learn different levels and the inner psychology of the life. When most people think of a DOM/sub relationship they think the sub is weak minded. That is not the case. Someone with a strong personality can be just as submissive as one with a weak personality. So that whole saying don't judge a book by it's cover and all comes into play.

It was a great read, I stayed up late trying to finish it. I would recommend it to those who are mature enough to understand it. Please do not go into this read thinking it is all about sex. Yes sex plays a big role in the novel but it isn't the focus point. The relationship between the two people take the fore front of the story. How they interact with each other and others is very important to understand what really is happening during the sex. As well as the reason being behind how they interact.

Now that being said, yes. The sex was HOT! The type of description used made me look up and around to make sure no one was looking at what I was reading (My kindle is a permanent fixture in my purse). This is definitely worth picking up and taking a read through!

Squeeze Play Review

Title: Squeeze Play
Author: Kate Angell
My Ratting: 4 of 5 stars false

I have recently fallen in love with books with sports themes.

I must say. This one did NOT let me down. It was witty funny and hot.

It features two couples Risk and Jacy, who have been "rebound lovers" since high school. The theory of a rebound lover intrigues me. A best friend that comes and gives great sex and comfort after every heartbreak. With out the awkwardness. It works out great, until you realize you have always been in love with the other person and make up break ups to get them home.

Zen and Stevie. They just met. Zen is cool collected and logical. Steve just had her heart ripped out by the only man she has ever loved. With Zen's attentive comforting presence Stevie learns that she can absolutely is back in the game for a few more innings.

It is a enjoyable read and easy. The antics of the Bat Pack is classic and awesome. I want to follow "Psycho" around and be entertained for days. Everyone has their own personality, my only issue is you don't hear much from "Chaser" he kind of fades into the background. Other then that Kate Angell did good on this!

Hard and Fast Review

Title: Hard and Fast
Series: Fast Track
Author: Erin McCarthy
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars false

Do opposites attract? After reading this I'd say HELL YES! They also light up sheets, and trees, and tents!
I wasn't sure what to expect When I started reading this. I'm a reformed tom boy who loves to speed. Only thing is, here is my secret, I have never read a sports themed book before. GASP! I KNOW! I can honestly tell you that I have been forever changed!
I feel in love with Ty. He is laid back, witty and honest. He also drives REALLY fast! His big secret does not hinder him from living life. He keeps going full force and finds ways to deal. Doesn't ask for sympathy or pity.
Imogen, or Emma Jean or Engine, as Ty calls her. She is refreshing. I am so sick of the heroines that don't embrace their brains. Or say they do but act completely different. We have a girl who has brains and asks all the questions we don't think to. Thank you Erin McCarthy.
Now to my favorite part of any book, the SEX. I know I am a secret pervert. Let's just say it was hot, creative and McCarthy held NOTHING back!

The Perfect Play Review

Title: The Perfect Play
Series: Play by Play
Author: Jaci Burton
My Rating:didn't like it it was ok liked it really liked it it was amazing (my current rating)

Burton is an All Star writer. She really holds nothing back and most of the scenes that got down and dirty had me fanning myself with one hand and texting my boyfriend with the other.
She makes her characters strong in their own right. Giving them a background and history. Mick and Tara could keep living as they were and are not dependable on anyone. What makes it so amazing is when you put to strong people together you get magic and awesome sex!
As a single mom I could totally relate to Tara. Burton really captured the fears and determination the every mother goes through. I can't wait to get started on the nest installment in this series.
I enjoy Mick, he has a sense of responsibility that he learned to achieve by going through what life threw at him.
Kodos, Jaci Burton, Kodos!

Real Vampires Don't Diet Review

Title: Real Vampires Don't Diet
Author: Gerry Bartlett

Oh Gerry. I don't want to give any spoilers away, so this is spoil free.

I seriously think I could melt for Ray.

I seriously know I would drop my pants and strike a pose for Jerry. Of course he would have to call me Lass.

Here is the thing, we get the picture that big does not mean unsexy. I mean I'm not small myself. My only problem is that Glory comes across a wee bit like a whore bag. Open sexuality is awesome. I just can't take Glory seriously about her love for Jerry if she is so hot for anything else that walks in. I root for Jerry. Even every time Glory does something stupid or hurtful he takes her back. Why I ask WHY!!!!

She needs to choose. Only, if she does where would all those hot ALMOST sexy scenes go!?! Its like a light switch. When you start to think OMG she's going for it you get turned on and then BAM! She walks out with out the nookie. Leaving the poor light switch left on and confused!

Valdez, I want my own Valdez. He's cute and deadly. Like a elf. BUT so not like a elf! Glory says Flo is her best friend but really, we all know Valdez is! He is comically funny the things he says and eats amaze me!

Over all I would rate it a solid 4. I enjoyed it. I just want Jerry all for my own!

Now for some hilarious ecards...

Something About You Review

Oh Julie James you do it to me again. In this book introduces Cameron Lynde and Special Agent Jack Pallas *insert sigh*.

Okay, this book is witty sarcastic, charming and HOT. (Totally just described myself). Anywho, stick two people the can't stand one another because of misplaced fault in the same book it is bound to spice up your life. Haha, get it spice girl reference. Moving on. Jack Pallas made a pretty careless comment about Cameron in front of a news crew one day. Instead of going super bitch, which I am want to do, she tried to save his job when her boss tried to go for his head. Because of said comment Jack got shipped off to Nebraska and Cameron got the silent treatment from majority of FBI agents.

Fate throws them together when Cameron is in the wrong place at the wrong time, and not wearing any pants might I add *GASP*. The thing I admire about James writing is that even as their relationship grows through out, the witty sarcastic charming hotness that pulls you in doesn't disappear with Cam and Jack's anger.

It's a great read. I would recommend it. If not for the interesting plot but as well for the smart ass amazing women Cam is. I mean come on she had a hilarious homosexual guy best friend. The things that come out of Colin's mouth are things of legend.

Overall on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. I give it a 4!

Friday Night Review

The Vincent Boys
Abbi Glines

When I choose this book to read I didn't have high hopes. All the reviews I had read had been not so generous in praise. I like to think I give everything a fair shot. It's the little things in life that take us by surprise. I admit the story line has been used time and time again. Love triangle.

Now I like I said I did NOT have high hopes for this one, but I was surprised. It wasn't a book that I would put in my Top Ten, but it wasn't horrid. I enjoyed it. The characters are relate able. Ashton was admirable in the fact that she was willing to walk away from both of Sawyer and Beau. That's how much she loves them both. I felt Glines did a good job showing the conflict in loving someone verses being in love with someone.

The thing I enjoyed the most about Glines writing is, I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT! I hate the snail pace build up that most authors take to get into the story. I fully understand that background is needed to be laid so that we understand the characters. We get to know Ashton and Beau's history through them. How they interact with each other. Things they say. We get to know Sawyer, through them as well. He doesn't actually make a appearance in the story until the end, but the characters are so conflicted with what they know is wrong and what feels right, that they expose us to the type of person Sawyer is.

I admit I have a crush on Beau. He is masculine in everything he does. The silent suffering he has gone through while his cousin, who is basically his brother, dates the only women he has ever loved. I just want to pull him in my arms and hold him. I a sucker for a sad story.

Over all it was an enjoyable quick read. I would recommend it, for a day at home with nothing to do.
