I CAN'T TAKE THE WAIT!!

I just finished reading Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and let me tell you *fans herself* I think I'm in love. Wait no scratch that I AM IN LOVE! Oh sweet hot aliens made of light! Ok! Let me start off by saying that no way did I think going into this that I would become so obsessed, but once again I was wrong. Well I am wrong allot but I don't like to admit that out loud.

Now let me give you a run down, while I am suppose to be working. I will just have to make sure I look like I'm doing something when they walk past my office. i kid I kid, I am on lunch!

So it starts out with Katy staring at her boxes resigning herself to West Virginia, not a real town, boredom. After her mom makes her pack up and leave sunny Florida(which lets be honest hurricanes = NOT. COOL.). From the start the book was relate able, well as relate able as alien HAWTNESS can be. What I mean by relate able is that I could totally see myself reacting in the same way that Katy does. She's fierce but not scary fierce. She is nice but not a pushover. She also refuses to put up with a jerkface dickhead hot ass who lives next door. I have to give her props, I would have punched him in the face the first time and then demanded he take of his clothes so I could play doctor... I mean judgement is SOOOO not needed at the moment.  0.o

Daemon followed me home after school.
Literally. He tailed me in his new Infiniti SUV.
My old Camry, with its leaky exhaust and loudmuffler, 
was no match for the speeds he wanted to go.
I’d brake-checked him several times.
He’d blown his horn.
It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Daemon *sigh* she was write when she wrote he was the Holy Trinity of Boys. Let's face it he is a douche. Nothing he says is polite, kind, nice or considerate at all. Then I would not have a major crush on him if he was any less douchey then he is! It is apart of who he is, his complex character steams from the lose he has experience and the fierce protectiveness he feels for the only family he has less. Jennifer did an excellent job portraying his inner conflict with out giving it away. You won't catch Daemon whining about what he can't have. It's not like I wouldn't willingly give him a shoulder to cry on.

“Asshole,” I muttered. Daemon laughed. 
“You have such a mouthon you. Do you kiss 
boys with that thing?”My cheeks heated. 
“Do you kiss Ash withyours?”
“Ash?” His smile disappeared and his eyes 
were suddenly hooded, less clear. 
“You wouldlike to know that, wouldn’t you?”

The point I am trying to make is that Jennifer Arementrout is a glorious writter. She captures the core of Katy and Daemons relation and does take the easy route in giving them a reason to have a relationship that is not platonic. They have a weird connection/bond/aliem mojo thing so what! Katy want's more then that she wants bone deep, you better show it and mean it LOVE! 
This my friends is why I can't wait the 5 days until the release of ONYX! So please take mercy on me and let these days fly by, the teasers that Jennifer puts on her blog are quite frankly GOD AWFUL TEASER THAT WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME IF I DO NOT GET MY FIX LIKE 4 DAYS AGO!!!
